Culinary Arts

In January of 2024, I spent 3 weeks getting my Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality Level 2 Diploma in Culinary Skills. The course was hosted by WhitePepper Chef Academy in Dorset, United Kingdom. 

Over the course of the 3 weeks I had the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and apply the learnings each day. The course consisted of a mix of demonstrations, online coursework, execution, feedback sessions, and ultimately an exam that allowed me to showcase the technical and time management skills that I learned during the course. 

In addition to learning how to cook a variety of main dishes and sides, I also had the opportunity almost every afternoon to practice my baking skills! 

At the conclusion of the course in order to receive our our certifications, we had to submit a time plan and execute a full meal including side dishes, main, and dessert in a 3 hour time frame. We were assessed on our cleanliness, technique, time management, and of course – the end result!
